Some are moving to other states, where they think they will have an easier time getting jobs. Others are returning to Mexico, selling their effects and putting their houses on the market.
    What states?

This is only good news if they're going back to Mexico. If they're just shuffling from one state to another, it's just moving the problem and nothing more.
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

Did you pickup what the one Illegal was planning "They were refinacing their home to get cash out for their move to Mexico".In other words they are going to Rob americans to have money go home. They will get money from the refinance of their homes then let their property be forclosed on.We will be called upon to bail out the mortgage companies !Thats how much respect these hard working Illegals have for us.

None of this should be news to any of us...........illegals have been robbing us for years and years now. And yes, they will get every last cent they believe they are "entitled" to before they go. That's why the majority of them were here to begin with and the one thing that they seem disappointed with, and angry over the most, is that they weren't able to get over for longer. I have not heard one person leaving my property whining, or worrying, about how they will have nothing when they go back, just that the free ride is over because.....surprise, surprise.....they feel they are being cheated out of what is owed to them by the US.
Oh, and I've yet to see a single one of them fail to take their US born children with them, or who are planning to leave them behind when they do leave because, contrary to the propaganda, they will not be suffering for lack of anything.

As for bailing out the mortgage companies.....we can hope for minimal damage because many were started up just to handle financing for illegals. They will no longer have a market and probably just disappear as quickly as they showed up. Not only have they made their money, but the amount of fraud involved would bury these people under the jail for life so it would behoove them to just quietly shut their doors and go away.

Regardless of whatever fallout there is from this, we'll survive, and recover. That's what makes us Americans

    Illegals Fleeing Arizona Employer Sanctions
    by bigjolly | 08/28/2007 6:05 am | Alert moderator

As previously noted here and here, sanctions against employers that knowingly and willingly hire illegal aliens are the fastest and cheapest way to stem the wave flowing over our southern border. Arizona has enacted tough new laws that will shut a business down 10 days for the FIRST offense and this law is already having an impact even though it doesn’t take effect until January 1, 2008.

Undocumented immigrants are starting to leave Arizona because of the new employer-sanctions law.

The state’s strong economy has been a magnet for illegal immigrants for years. But a growing number are pulling up stakes out of fear they will be jobless come Jan. 1, when the law takes effect. The departures are drawing cheers from immigration hard-liners and alarm from business owners already seeing a drop in sales.
Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa (AZ) will appear on Texas State Sen. Dan Patrick’s afternoon radio talk show today (KSEV AM 700) between 4 and 6 pm. to discuss the law he crafted and the impact it is having.

Now Arizona law chases illegals out
'I would say we are losing at least 100 people a day'

A new Arizona state law to require employers to verify the immigration status of employees is being blamed – and credited – for chasing illegal aliens out of the state.

It's the second such development in just the last week: WND reported earlier how a new Oklahoma law requiring the deportation of arrested illegal aliens was prompting an exodus from that state.

The developments are the result of state actions already launched when a brokered plan in the U.S. Senate to create a path to legal residency for the millions of illegal aliens in the country collapsed.

The new report comes from the Arizona Republic, which said the state's strong economy has been a magnet for illegal aliens for years, but the law is looming on Jan. 1.

"I would say we are losing at least 100 people a day," Elias Bermudez, founder of Immigrants Without Borders and host of a daily talk-radio program aimed at undocumented immigrants, told the newspaper.

The report said it's impossible to count exactly how many illegal aliens have fled because of the new law, but interviews with immigrant advocates, community workers and real-estate agents confirm the number is significant.

"Some are moving to other states, where they think they will have an easier time getting jobs," the report said. "Others are returning to Mexico, selling their effects and putting their houses on the market."

The report said the number is expected to mushroom as the deadline approaches.

"This is exactly what it is supposed to do. (Illegal aliens) have no business being here, none," said state Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, an architect of the law to sanction employers. "Shut off the lights, and the crowd will go home. I hope they will all self-deport."

I assume that report includes their children. The numbers need to be way higher than 100 especially since there are probably at least 100 more entering every day if not more.
