What started as a wild high speed chase Sunday, ended with a bailout of more than 20 suspected illegal immigrants near Saratoga and Greenwood.

The drama developed near the town of Driscoll Sunday. A white Chevy 4x4 catching the attention of a Nueces County Constable. The Constable thought he was dealing with a drunk driver. After following him for several minutes, the truck picked up speed, and the chase ensued.

Reaching speeds just shy of 100 m.p.h. It eventually ended along County Road 35 near the Las Colonias neighborhood.

Police estimate 20-25 illegals bailed out of the vehicle. They were making a fast dash for a hiding place. Officers surrounded the area.

A D.P.S. helicopter was also brought in for the suspects because of the thick brush. 30 minutes later a second suspect was located not far away. Both are believed to be Honduran nationals, in the country illegally.

They're now in custody of agents of the U.S. Border Patrol.
