"How do you solve it? You build a barrier, a fence, a wall — whatever you want to call it. You build it," Bachmann said. "As president of the United States, every mile, every yard, every foot, every inch will be covered on that southern border."
Exactly right! If fences "don't work" then how come Obama doesn't take that nice iron fence surrounding the White House down? I guess protecting his family from invasion is more important that protecting the American people from invasion.

    Typical liberal hypocrite....

Anyone else notice how opponents to a fence keep referencing The Great Wall of China and The Maginot Line? It's true they both failed but technology is much better today.

AGAIN, Our Presidents have been and are willing to sacrifice our men and women to secure the borders of Korea among other national borders but they refuse to secure our own national borders. If the current and for that matter our past Presidents were serious about defending our borders the United States has 35,000+ troops in Korea who would be better utilized Securing our National Borders from the ILLEGALS, the growing lawlessness, and civil war in mexico instead of functioning as a "trip wire" that they will never to respond other than more talk. A WIN-WIN for the United States and the United States troops and their families; the troops and their families would be in the United States and the monies spent in Korea would be spent in the United States by both our government and the troops.

She's got my vote on the basis of her statements on the illegal alien issue alone. Re-deploying troops from S. Korea to the Mexican border! Wow!

Note that the big "conservative" sites like National Review Online are censoring comments criticizing the open-borders/high immigration level stance of Perry, Christie, Paul Ryan, Romney and Huntsman.

The contradiction is that most of today's immigrants, legal and illegal, favor the big government/high tax/high social services regime that Christie, Ryan et. al. claim to oppose.

I think the Christie-Ryan-Perry-Romney strategy is wide-open borders to feed corporate interests, and shift the financial burden of caring for poorly educated/low-skilled immigrants to the states.
