Being Politically Correct IsnÂ’t Protecting Americas Borders

Homeland Security is a lot like a horse race, everyone places their faith in a different winner. Bill OÂ’Reilly wants to put troop on the borders, that wonÂ’t work. Bill Clinton wants to make them all citizens, that wonÂ’t work, George Bush wants it to just go away, that wonÂ’t work. So what will work?
I have a few suggestions, sit Mexican President Vicente Fox down, and explain he has some real choices to make. Either he gets with the program creating a Mexican economy that sustains his population or heÂ’s going to be sent to the end of the line for Americas favors. Vicente Fox is nothing less than a modern Conquistador, We should excuse the Mexican Peasant for leaving home in the hope of gaining some degree of freedom and prosperity. We canÂ’t excuse those who push them across the US Borders. It seems Vicente Fox is taking a page from Fidel CastroÂ’s book, sending MexicoÂ’s excess packing.

The immigration problem isnÂ’t going away with a lot of, political rhetoric. The first step is to recognize the things that entice illegalsto come to America. Employment, health care, education, freedom of expression, all the things they lack in their own countries. When America exports itÂ’s culture it must expect repercussions, in this case illegal immigration. To the rest of the world Americas streets are paved with opportunity. Like it or not America is big brother to the world, America is the brass rings on the Mary-go-round.

If politicians, government officials, and businessmen got together and determined the honest number of guest workers needed then issued that number of permits it would go a long way to satisfy the opposition to Mexican workers.

Mexicans and Migras, can spot an OTM, before they open their mouths to speak. To Americans Latinos all look alike; to other Latinos theyÂ’re as different as DNA. With stricter enforcement, the MexicoÂ’s government would be compelled to restrict immigration into Mexico. The only way to halt illegal immigration is to enforce all laws on both sides of the border, regardless whoÂ’s Ox gets gored.

I recall the old argument against Mexican workers. They spread germs causing children to get any number of dieses. Now the argument is they encourage terrorists to enter the US. Could it be prodigious thatÂ’s the root cause of the bigotry toward Mexicans. Please donÂ’t be offended Mexicans used the same arguments when the Gringos were invading Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California before the 183os. This will come as a surprise to many of our readers. There was a time when 1/5th more or less of the United States belonged to Mexico. The government paid 11 million dollars to Mexico for 1/5th of the country, is that a bargain or what?

Is America losing sight of the fact weÂ’re a nation of immigrants? The Lady in New your harbor holds a torch guiding the path to America. Granted she has her back turned on our southern neighbors I doubt it was intentional. AmericaÂ’s always been inundated by immigration. WeÂ’ve managed to survive those condition that sent masses to our shore. WeÂ’ve always prospered form it despite the naysayers.

IÂ’m sure my words will fall on deaf ears. Politicians and the Politically Correct advocates have a stake in the statuesque. Making any positive changes in the system would disrupt their agenda. When you read about the evils of illegal immigration, remember itÂ’s us not them who empower the system. Like water, immigration follows the paths of least resistance. Without enforcement of domestic laws, no amount of border security will be effective.
