Criminal aliens in Collier County beware.

After four weeks of training on a variety of immigration topics, 27 Collier County sheriff’s deputies and corrections officers graduated Tuesday from a unique cross-training program with the U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) that will help them identify criminal aliens who enter the Collier County jail and to start removal proceedings from the country.

The training also will help deputies on the road target and identify violent criminal aliens hiding in the shadows in Collier County.
