Mexican fugitive caught trying to sneak across border
Associated Press
RIO GRANDE CITY -- Border Patrol agents caught a Mexican man wanted in a 2002 homicide shortly after he attempted to sneak back into the United States, Customs and Border Protection said today.
Valentin Mata Nunez, 28, was identified by fingerprints as a fugitive in an Edinburg homicide, CBP spokesman Roy Cervantes said.
Cervantes said Mata and another man activated a Border Patrol sensor as they walked from the banks of the Rio Grande at about noon Sunday. The fingerprint scan turned up warrants for Nunez in the homicide case as well as for an automobile theft in McAllen.
The other man did not have warrants out for him, Cervantes said.
Mata was taken into the custody of the Edinburg police department.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Of course I'm sure $750,000 may as well be 1 billion to this illegal, but that's not the point!"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**
