Bodies of two found in remote area 50 miles east of S.D.

SAN DIEGO – The bodies of two men, part of a group of 10 suspected illegal border-crossers, have been found in rugged desert mountains about 50 miles east of San Diego, authorities said Wednesday.

Three survivors from the group have been hospitalized, and two men suspected of serving as smuggling guides have been taken into custody, said Border Patrol spokesman Alex Renteria.

Three others from the group are missing, and Border Patrol agents are searching the backcountry for them with the aid of helicopters.
