CBP proposal may spur exodus

Officials at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have proposed a new salary plan for Border Patrol agents that could cost them an average of $7,000 a year in lost pay and spark what some say would be an exodus of veteran agents to higher-paying agencies.
The still-pending proposal by CBP to convert Border Patrol agents from a pay program known as “Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUO)â€NO AMNESTY
Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

No one is guaranteed overtime hours. Agents don't need to be working 10 hours on a daily basis/50 hour work weeks. In truth, you can hire more full time employees for less than the overtime pay you pay overworked employees.
When a full time employee deliberately goes over 40 hours a week, in the corporate world it's called milking overtime and it's discouraged.
Anyone working overtime should be paid.
