El Centro Sector Border Patrol Arrests Lead to the Prosecution and Conviction of 11 Illegal Immigrant Sex Offenders
(Tuesday, December 31, 2013)
Imperial Valley, Calif. - Border Patrol agents from the El Centro Sector arrested and charged 11 illegal alien sex offenders after they attempted to cross the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.
All apprehensions took place at, or close to the border near the cities of Calexico, El Centro and Indio, Calif. The illegal aliens are all men with a criminal history for felony convictions that range anywhere from sexual intercourse with a child, to rape and sodomy; many of the sex offenders were apprehended traveling in groups with women and children.
The men, who in many cases have extensive criminal histories, are processed. Once their identity is established, U.S. Border Patrol agents confirm any active for warrants and then present them for prosecution on federal immigration charges.

The illegal immigrants will be deported to their country of origin after serving their prison sentences.
