Boycott of Arizona over immigration law called off

The union representing many grocery workers in the nation has called off its boycott of Arizona over the state's new immigration law.
The United Food and Commercial Workers International announced the decision on Thursday. It cited a federal judge's late July decision to put much of the new law on hold.
The union joined other groups, including immigration rights activists, in calling for a boycott of the state after Gov. Jan Brewer signed SB 1070 into law in April.
U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton put the most contentious portions of the law on hold, saying they likely violated the Constitution.
UFCW Local 99 president Jim McLaughlin says in a statement that it is time to "tone it down" and have a reasoned discussion on immigration law reform.
