Thread: Budget Bill - SAY NO - more H-2B Visas-Fund Refugee Program-delist Endangered Species

The House and Senate are attempting to move a massive spending bill that would fund the entire government through the end of next September. Reports indicate that this spending bill will quadruple the H-2B visa program that allows companies to import low-skilled foreign workers to compete with and replace American workers and fund the expansion of the refugee resettlement program.

Help defund refugee resettlement and reallocate the funds to help refugees closer to their homes and stop increases to the H-2B visa program and dangerous riders noted below by calling, emailing or tweeting your three Members of Congress.

Within the next two weeks, Congress must reach an agreement to fund our government for the next two years or face another shutdown. Predictably, the process has turned ugly Included are more than 100 policy riders that will have serious consequences for our environment and wildlife, including ending Endangered Species Act protection for wolves in many parts of the country.

Oppose these backroom dealings.....

If the attacks succeed, protections will be stripped from gray wolves throughout much of their current range -- in Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Utah and the Great Lakes region. This would undercut decades of successful recovery work under the Endangered Species Act, and put thousands of wolves in the crosshairs. It would also override several federal court rulings and ignore years of scientific research showing that wolves still need protection.

This is not how democracy works, or how we should be making crucial policy decisions. Urge your senators to oppose all riders attached to this year's Interior spending bill.

Understand they want the land designated for Endangered Species to be able to destroy the areas with gas, oil, mining exploration FOR CORPORATE PROFITS - our public lands are being sold right now!
