"Minutemen "victimizing vulnerable working people"? Are you out of your mind? The people who victimize the illegal aliens are the employers. A perfect example is in McGonigle Canyon where the tomato growers knowingly hire people who live in absolute 3rd world filth. They sleep on the ground, on pallets, or milk crates with nothing more than a sleeping bag so they can work "illegally" and make $5.75 an hour. Is this how we treat people in America? Is this humane? If you can't afford to pay someone legally then DON'T GROW TOMATOES! The "environment" in these encampments is absolutely devastated. Where is the Sierra Club and others? They only scream when someone wants to build a bridge or swim at a artificial beach called the Children's Pool. Where is the Health Dept? There are open toilets, fields of turds at all these encampments all over San Diego. All of the open border groups have known this for decades and say nothing about it, they silently allow it to continue. There are dozens of other encampments around the county. If they really cared about people like they say they do, we would see them shutting down ALL encampments. If they cared about the illegal aliens wouldn't they invite them to celebrate Mass at Church with the rest of society and not at the bottom of a canyon. Is that how you treat your fellow man? There are plenty of people who would give them rides to Church every Sunday. The fact is they do not care about them. Lets not forget the illegal aliens have homes and family in another country, they just need to go back home. These people are not "immigrants". Pat Buchanan has it right when he said this is the 3rd world invasion of America in his book "State of Emergency" . Is it true that El Groupo, La Raza, Aztlan, Claudia Smith, Henry Morones, Danny Perez and others are racist and separatists? They all encourage "illegal immigration (that's called breaking the law) they divide our citizens into racial groups. They learn this from people like Jesse Jackson, who attends La Raza meetings and has met with other such groups in private to teach them his techniques. That's OK with the ACLU (A legal organization that defends law breakers) and all the groups that call everyone a racist. This so called racism only exists in the minds of these "leaders" who teach the masses into believing that there is a problem when in fact the opposite of what they are preaching is true. America has embraced Mexico and her people. The race card is used in hopes that no one will notice that the circumstances are geographical in nature and not racial. Spain has illegal aliens from Africa and the Spanish Citizens that are opposed to it are not racist against Africans! It's not that they are against that group of people, it's the geographic circumstances dictate where most illegals are from. We reject the corruption of the Mexican government and the importation of Latin American Politics. We reject all politicians representing Non-Citizens like Mayor Inzunza & the Mayor of Los Angeles. Public office is exclusively for the representation of US Citizens, not the representation of illegal immigrants. Opposing open borders, protesting employers, and waving the American flag is not racism! What ever happened to being an American, a patriot and standing up for OUR country no matter where we are from? What ever happened to assimilating into society, learning the language and being ONE people. The United States of America does not need the creation of yet another "underclass". American Citizens and legal immigrants from Mexico and elsewhere deserve better treatment than to be conned and led into a separate group. Hispanics are ashamed that these front groups are playing the race card and encouraging lawlessness on their behalf. Hispanics have higher standards than being known as lawbreakers! There is nothing complicated about people coming to America. There are only two ways, legally and illegally. The "vulnerable working people" are not the illegal aliens but rather the American Citizens who pay for their Social Services & welfare. "

I went to the website mentioned in this article and what I saw was alarming and down right frightening. The language used the sexual suggestive statements, the racial slurs and the unkind words used by those on this website have really shocked me. I understand why those who observe these things would call this group racist. I would add sexist as well. I disagree with this group and their tactics and I do not want anyone to think that all Americans are this way or think this way. This is discouraging to me and apparently many others are disgusted by this as well. I hope this man, Jeff Schwilk will look at his actions carefully and take quick action to rectify this. I certainly hope he is man enough to step of to the plate of acceptance and not begin to justify by pointing fingers at others and playing the every popular "blame game". To much of that goes on everyday people refusing to responsibility for their actions. When we are caught in our worst behavior we must take the high road, admit it, accept it, apologize, and move on. I think this man owes all women an apology for the sexists comment he and his followers have made against women. Perhaps I am just old and from a different era when women were respected and cherished no matter where they were or the clothes they wear. "

When most of us grew up, we never experienced Black-outs, gasoline shortages, overcrowded Non-English speaking schools, gridlock on our roads, hospitals bursting at the seams, and water shortages on an immense scale. While we are at it I guess we could also raise taxes so as to provide more public Spanish speaking schools. We all have opinions of people and sometimes those opinions are better kept to ourselves. Article uncovered the truth

Re: the Dec. 24 article, "Schwilk leads San Diego Minutemen." What a great article. It was filled with truth and finally exposed Jeff Schwilk for the racist, misogynist he is! I hope when people read the article they went to the www.minutemenunvarnished.com to see more of the disgusting displays of hatred and bigotry this man has bred in our communities. He tries to explain away the e-mails as "things he says to a small circle of people."

Well, Jeff's small circle now includes all the readers of the North County Times. Or the comment that best represents his mind-set and that of his followers: "I consider them less than human." Less than human, and he uses those horrible words as an excuse for the disgusting things he wrote in his e-mails, and believe me the ones given to Edward Sifuentes were the more civilized ones.

A good leader must be honest and willing to accept responsibility for his actions. Since Jeff refuses to do that he is not a good leader or a good example. I am just happy that for once the media have honestly portrayed this group for what they are! The Bible says that "out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks." No blame shifting allowed.

It is apparent that neither really has the support of the majority or they would hold public office and if they really did care about the situation and more importantly our country they would use their dubious celebrity as well as their dubious leadership positions to work with the federal and state leaders who really do have some influence in the matter to ensure comprehensive programs that maintain the sovereignty of our nation and benefits the United States. The Cabinet Secretaries who are leading the working groups making these agreements are the people with the power. If you really want to make a difference then learn everything you can about what is already going on. Start at SPP.gov and go from there. Then if you really want to make a statement about the situation then make it to Cabinet Secretaries and write your Congress person. Talk to the people who really do make the decisions. The leaders of these activist groups (both sides) are nothing more than con artists that have developed the ability to lead the uneducated underclasses down dead end streets. They are no better than newspaper editors. Why people listen to them is beyond comprehension."
