ONTARIO - A 50-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of three counts of attempted murder.
Officials say Daniel Quinonez Sandoval, an Ontario resident, was involved in a verbal and physical altercation July 25 at Karina's Restaurant, 2209 S. Euclid Ave., during which Sandoval stabbed the three victims.

After the altercation, police said, Sandoval fled the bar. Detectives were looking for Sandoval in Orange County when they saw his vehicle near the 57 freeway and Lincoln Avenue.

Authorities believe a knife found with Sandoval during the car stop is the one used during the crime.

The arrest was a joint effort by the Ontario Police Department, Anaheim Police Department, U.S. Marshalls Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

Sandoval was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ontario Police Department for an interview. He was booked at West Valley Detention Center.

Anyone who might have witnessed the incident is asked to call Detective Mitchell, (909) 395-2001, ext 2751.
