SANTA ANA, Calif. -- The owners of an Orange County employment agency are accused of hiring illegal immigrants as caregivers and guiding them toward dating services so they can marry Americans and stay in the country legally.

Wilfredo Ngo and his ex-wife Teresa Ngo were named in a federal grand jury indictment handed down Wednesday in Santa Ana.

They are charged with hiring at least 40 illegal immigrants to work as caregivers in 10 Orange County elder care facilities and in private homes.

The Ngos allegedly counseled these workers to seek out potential spouses at Leisure World and the online dating service eHarmony.com.

The owners of A-Plus Senior Planning Services each face more than 15 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
