Re: CA. Rep. Bilbray To File Brief Against Obama AZ. Lawsuit

Rios said he disagreed with Bilbray's claim that the federal government failed to enforce immigration laws. He and other immigrant rights advocates say the federal government is spending more than ever on immigration enforcement.
More like wasting more money trying to fool us into thinking they are enforcing immigration.

The lawsuit really is frivilous. The Federal Government might as well be suing themselves. It's as if they're wasting American taxpayers' money on purpose. Arizona should also get re-imbursed for all of their court costs and lawyer's fees.

It is the federal governments fault and when you do a poor job in any business you GET FIRED!!! It is well documented in many news articles including this site and Homeland Security that they DO NOT ENFORCE the law. There are millions of documented cases weher a person has been deported numerous times without any penalty. Federal law calls for criminal charges after the second illegal re-entry and that doesn't happen 95% of the time. It don't even happen after the 5th time. It is well known all over the world what we have had and currently have is a "CATCH AND RELEASE" program. A program that has ZERO deterrent effect as all the illegals know that all that will happen to them is they get administratively deported so they can turn around and sneak back in. That is the reality of our immigration enforcement system. We should not be mad at the illegals, we should be mad at our government and the politicians who support this system. If politicians did not support this system we would have actual enforcement. Afterall, who gives the money to Homeland Security? Congress does. Congress could easily fix this loophole and make changes removing administrative arrest and leaving only criminal arrest on any illegal entry. Congress could make changes to current law mandating Homeland Security enforce the criminal law or face contempt of congress charges all the way to the top dog and removal of the appointment by congress of the secreatary of homeland Security and a person placed by congress until the next person can be appointed and confirmed. We have allowed the executive branch powers to become to powerful and our congress to be weak will in making sure the executive branch follows the laws enacted by congress also known as by the people. We need to insist via our votes that all our congress representatives hold accountable all our laws until such a point laws are changed or repealed. That is the way our democracy was established and the executive branch needs to get their act together or be held accountable by congress. The politics of democrats versus republican alliances needs to stop and they need to actually start representing us.

I look so forward to this November as I know what needs to be done in my mind and my vote will surly reflect that. McCain is one who will be losing my vote this time around for doing a piss poor job on immigration accountability. He has shown that he will pander to the illegal Hispanic populations and I earned my US birth certificate by the blood of my forefathers to allow him or anybody else to sell it off for political gain and favors. Illegal is illegal period!!! End of story. Do your job or be fired!!!
"Where is our democracy if the federal government can break the laws written and enacted by our congress on behalf of the people?"

This reminds one of how we obtained Patriot Brian Bilbray as a member of Congress in the first place. Bilbray won a close, special election against Democrat Francine Busby in mid 2006, to replace disgraced Republican Randy "Duke" Cunningham, who was found to have accepted $2.4 million in bribes. Then Bilbray won the regular election in Nov 2006.

By early 2007, San Diego US Attorney Carol Lam was fired, along with 7 other US Attorneys. One theory is that the Bush Administration retaliated against Lam for pursuing the corruption case against Cunningham.

The reason for Lam's firing is that "she raised the violation requirements in an effort to manage the flood of immigration cases referred to her office".

This makes sense. They wanted Lam to be so overworked with immigration cases that she wouldn't have time to prosecute fellow Republican Duke Cunningham. The Bush Administration would soon make a massive push for Amnesty anyway in mid-2007.

My guess is that Duke was a RINO, pro-illegal-immigrant, who might have helped Bush get the Amnesty for 20 million illegals that he so coveted.
