Slain border patrol agent's memorial ride

SAN DIEGO (CBS - A lot of noise and plenty of heavy hearts near campo Saturday, as hundreds of ATV and cycle riders paid tribute to fallen border patrol agent Robert Rosas Junior, who was killed in the line of duty July 23rd, 2009.

Rosas's widow Rosalie brought the couple's two young children Kayla and Matthew to a memorial cross which served as a prayer stop to remember what happened that fateful night.

The 30-year-old was on patrol alone along the Shockey Truck trail when he was surprised by a group of smugglers looking to rob a border patrol agent.

Ride creator Ronnie Golden couldn't hold back his emotions as he spoke about how strong the agent's widow has been dealing with the tragedy.

Authorities have caught four of the five men thought to have staged the ambush. The final suspect, 27-year-old Jose Juan Chacon Morales, who is also known at Camello and El Primo, is hiding in Mexico

There is a $100,000 reward for information regarding his exact whereabouts. Family members are hoping he's captured soon.

Last year's memorial ride, held in July, collected more than $2,600, which was given to Rosalie Rosas and her children.
