    BAKERSFIELD - The failure of the immigration reform bill in the Senate hasn’t stopped all immigration bills.
    One group is hoping to drum up support for a bill allowing students to become permanent legal residents, but not everyone is supportive of the idea.

    Last year, hundreds of people lined local streets in support of nationwide immigration reform.

    This week, local students hope the same people will come out to support the Dream Act.

    It would grant immediate temporary residency for undocumented high school graduates who’ve lived in the U.S. for at least five years.

    The dream Act should only be for American Citizens...not for people whos families violated the law...period! Crime should not be rewarded

    Their careers where? In Mexico? Surely you don't expect us to groom illegal's anchor babies to compete with our children and grandchildren for positions!

    That fast isn't going to do you any more good than the Grand Marches did.

    Don't these people have eyes and ears to see the mood that the nation is in right now?
