Chaos! Migrants flood into Greece - then try to sneak out

Don't know why they call them "migrants" because they seem to be illegal unless its a European Union term. This is really a terrible problem over there. Total Chaos. See what we have to look forward to.

Migrants flood into Greece - then try to sneak out

PATRAS, GREECE — The migrants who flock to this busy port city try just about anything to get out. They cling to the undersides of tractor-trailers being loaded onto ships and ferries. They sneak into refrigerated trucks, shivering among crates of vegetables. They seal themselves like amateur Houdinis into false-bottom cubbyholes in the backs of vans.

Their destination is Italy, the next stop after Greece on the people-trafficking routes into Europe. Some are caught before they make the crossing. Some die of suffocation in their airless hiding places.

But hope and desperation keep them coming, making Patras a magnet for thousands of illegal migrants that Greek officials say they can no longer manage or absorb.

Greece used to be a sending country for immigrants coming into the United States. The Greeks still only make about a third what they would here. The country has however wound up retaining more of it's population and is now beset by this influx of illegal aliens.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
