Charlotte CBP Apprehends Wanted Fugitives

Charlotte — United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Charlotte Douglas International Airport apprehended two individuals wanted for grand larceny and aggravated assault charges officials announced today.
The apprehensions took place on May 23, 2012, while CBP officers were conducting routine inspections of arriving international passengers. The first individual, 38 year-old United States citizen Roger Hudson arrived from Nassau, Bahamas and was wanted for grand larceny out of South Carolina. The second individual, 40 year-old United States citizen Joseph Beam arrived from Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and was wanted for aggravated assault out of North Carolina. After both individuals were identified and the warrants confirmed, they were arrested and turned over to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport Police Department and Rutherfordton Police Department for extradition.
“These arrests demonstrate our officers' vigilance and dedication to securing the homeland and safeguard our citizens,” said Patricia Fitzpatrick U.S. Customs and Border Protection area port director in Charlotte.
