Thank you PatrioticMe and vmonkey56 both. Yes. I'm very, very proud of him. He had a year left with his studies (microbiology and languages) before deployment. He's worked hard. It's harder now for him.

Thank God your second cousin returned home safe and sound. Please thank him (or her) for their service for me, and your family friend, too.

Agree on support of the troops and agree on Congress' failure to act, too. They won't give them the troops (and more) they need to put a swift end to this war.

My son advised that there is a rumor going around that they will serve a "second term" there before coming home. Speculation is that it's because Obama doesn't want to send "more troops" (public opinion, after all). As a result, those there may be spending more time there.

I can't imagine anything more demoralizing to the troops than having a Commander-in-Chief, knowing nothing of military service and having never been in a war situation, making such a decision, if it's true, giving them no relief from the physical and mental stress.

WHOOOO HOOOOO... Come one, come all to the open border, giving away tax money. Welcome to the Socialist country of America!

No Money? We give you some.

    No food? Welcome to welfare.

    No Job? Welcome to Unemployment

No Health Insurance? We are working on that! Just go to the nearest Emergency room and tell them the Democratic Senator from Illiniois sent you. The bill ? Just tack it on to the American debt, NO PROBLEM!

Thank you, MountainDog. And thank you for your service/protection of our rights and freedoms from both of us.

I know I can speak for him there.

All through high school ROTC, before he enlisted just before senior year, he told me, "It was his turn to return the favor and pass it on."

I know he appreciated you and other vet's like you.

I think if all the vets of this country stood together (my self included and willing) and were allowed to fix the problem of illegal immigration, this matter would be solved in a few weeks!

In 2006 alone, DHS reported that 39,000 Chinese nationals were awaiting deportation in the US back to China.
Wow. So where were they being held? Were they actually locked up? Or did ICE release hem back into the population? That was 3 years ago. Its probably double that by now.
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

I did some checking on this today, the ones who are caught have a couple of choices, they can ask for an asylum hearing or simply opt to be returned to China. China does take these people back.
The ones that don't get caught usually have family who live here and probably are the ones who paid for them, those without family usually sign a contract to work until the debt is paid off doing whatever. I won't get into detail here so let your imagination go wild and you'll get the idea.
There's a lot of money to be made smuggling these people and it helps China get rid of some people so they don't mind any of this going on.
