Citibank gives low interest mortgages to illegals

How the hell could anyone in their right mind justify this? It's better to be an illegal in the US than a US citizen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Monthly Outrage

Can't Afford to Buy a House in San Diego? Become an Illegal Alien.
    Source: Immigration Report

The San Diego housing market is one of the most expensive in the country and many first-time home buyers are simply priced out of the market. Even if you can somehow scrape together enough money for a down payment, rising interest rates and mortgage insurance make it exceedingly difficult to become a homeowner. That is, unless you happen to be an illegal alien.

If you are in the country illegally, don’t have a valid social security number and use a taxpayer ID number instead, you’re in luck. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has persuaded Citibank, one of the nation’s largest banks, to help out. Illegal aliens in San Diego can purchase a home at below market interest rates, receive down payment assistance, and not have to take out mortgage insurance like other risky customers do.

A similar program instituted by Wells Fargo in the Los Angeles area attracted bad publicity, so Citibank is trying to keep quiet the fact that illegal aliens can get better deals on home mortgages than citizens. The position of the banks is that as long as there is a buck to be made off of illegal aliens, they are going to keep marketing to them. As Chuck Lemoine, a senior vice president at Wells Fargo said, “It’s not only the right thing to do, it’s good business.”

You're darned right it is. I live in the San Diego area and heard about this around a month ago. I am outraged that they can get something that my husband and I, both Americans, well educated, professionals cannot at terms we would not even be offered. It's wrong on every level. Why even bother to play by the rules. Just cut in line, be a bully and cry racism at every turn. But seriously, I believe that they can have up to six signators on a loan and not one of them has to be legal. But hey, it's good business, right? I wonder if they'll think it's such good business a few years from now?

They don't even need to have any credit. From what I read, all they need is something like a phone or electric bill and they get a home loan just like that. How many Americans can just walk into a bank and get a home loan at low rates with phone bill. This is an absolute crock. And what happens if these illegal alien human refuse get caught and deported, oh yeah, the loans are getting backed by the government, so we taxpayers get to foot the bill for that too. What a deal, we get to have our communities turned into third world barrios, have our jobs stolen, get our schools ruined, get our hospitals bankrupted, get our cars stolen, get our neigborhoods shot up and covered in grafitti and WE GET TO PAY FOR IT ALL!

    citibank mortgages for illegals

I was born in this country served in Viet Nam went to college raised 2 hard working daughters and worked very hard myself for years, yet someone crossing the border tonight illegally will have more rights than I do tomorrow morning. That is excepting the right to vote but what good is that when our elected representatives ignore such a huge majority of their electorate on the issue of illegal immigration. I'm shredding my Citibank card. Hope others do too.

I thought favoritism was against the law. If you have a hispanic background, you get cheaper rates? Thats discriminatiom.
