    Clinton: Immigrants are decent people

    Clinton: Immigrants are decent people
    BY THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., smiles during a campaign stop in Amana Tuesday.
AMANA — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that illegal immigrants are ‘‘everywhere in America’’ and that comprehensive immigration reform — not mass deportation — is the solution to the problem.

The Democratic presidential front-runner also conceded that she didn’t handle the immigration issue well in last week’s debate. When a supporter said car accidents involving illegal immigrants without drivers’ licenses are a bane, the New York senator replied, ‘‘That was a good answer.’’

‘‘You should have been with me at the debate,’’ she told a crowd Tuesday in eastern Iowa.

Clinton was widely criticized after a televised debate last week when she hedged an answer on whether she supported New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s effort to grant licenses to illegal immigrants.

Clinton said she understood why governors are forced to take such steps but said she didn’t necessarily agree with the policy.

She has struggled since then to clarify her stance on the matter, which is widely unpopular in most states.

During two eastern Iowa stops, Clinton argued in favor of immigration reform that gives illegal immigrants a path toward citizenship that includes penalties, a clean legal record and several years of waiting.

Clinton said the issue is a complicated one that has become distorted by politicians seeking electoral gains. ‘‘They are decent people,’’ she said of illegal immigrants. ‘‘They’re everywhere in America.’’

Sorry, Hillary. But the issue is as simple and straight forward as any in American history.

The question is: Shall America continue to insist on rule of law and shall the nation enforce existing laws?

What is so GD complicated, Hillary?

Just because they are everywhere does not make it OK--they do not have a legal right to be here and are here only because immoral SOBs like George W Bush and the Democrat party have sold their souls!

IT IS SIMPLE: do your job and enforce the damned law!

Yeah their new decent democratic voters

Hillary Clinton is so transparent it's sickening to those that can't see the obvious. She doesn't want to solve the illegal immigrant issue at all; by her standards their all decent and in her mind it be more like; what problem.

Yes some illegal immigrants are decent but they share a common theme they are here illegally. Since Past amnesties have proven to be a failed policy she continues to say a path to citizenship is the only answer. Not securing our borders; not enforcing our laws or closing loopholes that should be the first priority to ending illegal immigration besides making it a federal offense to overstay a visa or illegally enter the country. No her answer is to grant a path to citizenship the easiest way to solve nothing but ensure a never ending flow of illegals.

Why would she want such poor people needing all sorts of social programs given by the government almost begging for it. Simple and as obvious as it is; it's all about keeping in power. She knows all these illegal immigrants who are uneducated and needing hand outs will all vote democratic if not socialist to communist for some if given the opportunity.

Senator Clinton is no fool and can spot a new large pool of voting democrats in such need as to vote for every social freebie that she proposes. Regardless of what American citizens of this country think she wants to grant amnesty to ensure a power grip on our society.

There she goes again -- setting up the FALSE CHOICE between mass amnesty or mass deportation. So typical of the smug, condescending elite. Let me say once again: ENFORCE THE LAW and over time illegals will self-deport.

We have to do our best to not let her intentionally misframe the debate in this way. If she truly wanted to help the middle class, she would firmly oppose drivers licenses for illegals, support vigorous enforcement of existing laws and all 854 miles (and more) of real fencing. But since her main concern is her own power, we have to embrace a candidate who can defeat her.
