CO: GarCo jail may house illegals

    GarCo jail may house illegals

By GARY HARMON The Daily Sentinel

The federal agency that had decided it no longer would use the Garfield County Jail to detain suspected illegal immigrants appears to be reconsidering that decision.

State Rep. Steve King, R-Grand Junction, said meanwhile that it appeared the federal agency was “impeding Colorado’s ability to enforce state and federal immigration laws.â€

Here in Colorado we expect ICE to be effective and efficient. Even liberal Joan Fitzgerald leader in the Colorado congress demanded The State patrol follow through on State legislation to create a force to handle illegal immigration on Colorado highways.

If the Feds let those illegal immigrants go those responsible should lose there job. Tasers and sleeping on the floor are no excuse.

    1. Colorado is committed to detaining illegals.
    2. Both Tasers and sleeping arangements are not discriminitory or inhumane.
    3. There are many beds in Colorado and a willingness to detain (including Aurora) if there was some true abuse.

This is laziness on the part of federal agents. The Rhino is an old Public employee and does not forgive this type of beauracrtic laziness. They make a pile cash and have good benifits.

I will not be happy unless someone at the federal level is fired over this and they better start talkin or both parties will be held accountable.
