Van With Suspected Illegal Immigrants Stopped On I-70
Stop Follows Similar Incident On Sunday

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- A van full of suspected illegal immigrants was stopped by a Colorado State Patrol trooper Tuesday morning about 2 miles from the Utah border.

The trooper saw the van listing to one side and stopped it because it appeared to be unsafe. The trooper said he found 11 passengers in the van, in addition to the driver and they appeared to illegal.

.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement was called in to investigate. All of the passengers ranged in age from 40 to 53.

ICE was expected to determine the status of the 12 people and process them, based on the results.

On Sunday, a suspected illegal immigrant was arrested and six others were taken into federal custody following a traffic stop on Interstate 70 near Clifton.
