In this 28 April 2026 video, host Cash Jordan talks about how criminals in California are forcing the rich from their homes as a string of unsolved home invasions grows by the day.

In April 2026, Los Angeles has experienced a significant surge in residential burglaries and violent home invasions, particularly in the San Fernando Valley and Hollywood Hills. As of late April, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is tracking at least 24 home break-ins for the month alone.

In the 9500 block of Cedros Avenue, suspects broke into a home and threatened to shoot a family, including two children, while they ransacked the property. Masked burglars used a ladder to enter a second-story window on Strohm Avenue, stealing a high-dollar amount of property, including jewelry and wedding rings.

The spree has heavily impacted Sherman Oaks, Encino, North Hollywood, and Studio City. Authorities have noted that many of these crews are “sophisticated and bold,” often using masks, hoodies, and strategic getaway cars like white Hondas. In response to the wave, Mayor Karen Bass and the LAPD have ordered extra patrols, including the deployment of mobile surveillance units along Ventura Boulevard and air support to track suspects.

While the number of robberies is less than it was during the California fires, owners are still losing everything to the area criminals.
