Company Hopes Sign Keeps Illegal Immigrants Away

Construction Company Says Site Complies With Immigration Laws

VAN BUREN, Ark. -- Managers at a Van Buren job site have posted an immigration sign with hopes of preventing any problems with illegal immigrants working there.

    Discuss Illegal Immigration

The sign reads, "This Site Monitored By Immigration," and it's visible at a site on Fayetteville Road. Managers said they just wanted to be upfront and let people know they are in compliance with the law when it comes to their hiring practices.

"That's why we put the sign out there and just let them, warn them right off the bat," said job site Superintendent Rickey Marise.

Immigration officials said they don't monitor job sites, but they encourage employers to make sure all of their employees can legally work in this country.

This construction company is abiding by federal law, but time will tell if the ACLU, LULAC, NCLR or some other group demands that it be taken down. By the same token I think the pro-illegal immigration groups need to be put in their place with actions brought against them.

    Cynical me -

Is the sign intended to impress American citizens or to keep illegals away?

The illegals are not afraid of the INS - at least 99% of them are not.

Does the site hire hispanics - if so, they are most likely hiring illegals and they know it. This may just be a PR job to keep the townspeople off their backs.

    Who is in control?

All illegal alien supporters/advocates/handlers are racially motivated. All they are capable of doing is invoking the race card when Americans try to enforce laws on the books to protect our safety and welfare. These illegal alien support groups including the communist ACLU are the same entities that help illegal aliens violate immigration laws, obtain fraudulent documentation and ssn's, teach them how to fraudulently obtain social security, welfare and other tax payer supported services, illegally register them to illegally vote, and support militant organizations espousing the violent overthrow of the U.S. government and genocide of the "gringos" which is punishable as treason or sedition. They should be stripped of their U.S. citizenship and be deported to the countries they support.

Why don't they monitor job sites, especially in the construction/developer/homebuilder arena?

Locals can do it and should do this one town at a time. IGNORE Washington. Local governments and sheriff's offices rarely have to deal with thousands of angry people shutting down there email services and phone systems. Local businesses who violate the law do not have the PR machines to spin the impact. What if one of the members in this group lives in a town that looks the other way on everything. Instead of 5-30 locals showing up to protest with signs they also let groups like this know. Many groups that have gotten together to support the local protest with emails and phone calls demanding they do there job.

Sheriff Joe in Arizona found where he could apply City, County or State law to rack them up in jail for six months to a year. Going back to where ever does not bother ILLEGALS. I think they just see it as a free trip to somewhere and back. A little vacation of sorts and even that is at our expense. Jail does bother them a bit and then Sheriff Joe turns them over to ICE.

Most locals are just not looking for the laws that they can jail them on. It is easier to just throw up their hands and say it is out of their control. I think the locals (State's Rights) are the ones that could get the job done. Most locals have never had their switchboard shut down from thousands of angry people or their email servers crash from thousands of emails saying we are going to hold you accountable for not enforcing local law. A boycott on a small local business would also have more impact. Locals are just as guilty if not more so than Washington. All of them Local, State and Federal have all ignored to enforce laws we have been paying taxes for.

The big guys in Washington are rich and don't care. It would be nice to have this attrition thing start without Washington. Locals can do it without Washington because all the laws to accomplish this are already on the books. Washington tries on purpose to make all feel they have to come through them to get anything done. It is called power. More locals would come out if they thought they were not alone on this. We are already starting to see it work from the locals taking a stand. If we could build this up to 5000 Sheriff Joe's we could sideline Washington.

I have your back but I think we are outnumbered.

Good for them putting up that sign, however you are right someone will push to have them take it down as they will state it is discriminatory to illegal aliens They are probably being inundated with illegals applying for jobs they are hoping this will reduce the numbers applying.
