Construction Company Says Site Complies With Immigration Laws
VAN BUREN, Ark. -- Managers at a Van Buren job site have posted an immigration sign with hopes of preventing any problems with illegal immigrants working there.
Discuss Illegal Immigration
The sign reads, "This Site Monitored By Immigration," and it's visible at a site on Fayetteville Road. Managers said they just wanted to be upfront and let people know they are in compliance with the law when it comes to their hiring practices.
"That's why we put the sign out there and just let them, warn them right off the bat," said job site Superintendent Rickey Marise.
Immigration officials said they don't monitor job sites, but they encourage employers to make sure all of their employees can legally work in this country.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
