This is a real surprise! I live in northern Illinois but my family is from Wisconsin. (Still some there). Actually when we were younger we moved back for a couple of years, but jobs were hard to find, so moved back to Chicago. (I guess you can say I am a immigrate from Wisconsin!, A anchor baby citizen of Illinois!)

Anyway, Wisconsin was at one time so fiercely proud of being the Americas Dairyland state. For example: Margarine (and other non-dairy substitute products) was illegal to sell in the state. When we live up there our parents had to smuggle it in by the case. Just kidding about the smuggling it was okay to bring in, you cannot re-sell it or but it with in the state.

Those were the days when Wisconsin was more proud of its DariyLand title then of the Packers (who?). So hearing they outsourced, and labeled it as Wisconsin cheese is real upsetting. I guess I now know why the Packers are so important to the average Wisconsinite; the state outsourced its pride at being the Nations DariyLand!

Score one more for NAFTA and the NAU?
