Crisis Leaves Border Patrol Agents Spending Personal Money on Diapers for Kids

by Brandon Darby 19 Jun 2014, 11:08 AM PDT

HOUSTON, Texas--U.S. Border Patrol agents have been spending their own money on diapers, toys, clothes, and treats for the thousands of children and other minors who have illegally crossed into the U.S. in hopes of staying in the country, according to the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC).

Shawn Moran, Vice President of the NBPC, spoke with Breitbart Texas and said, “FEMA is finally coming on line and conditions are getting better for many locations, but there are still many stations that are overwhelmed with processing duties and without the resources needed for these kids.”

Many Border Patrol agents, frustrated with the conditions that the children were placed in, reached into their own pockets to address the children's needs. "We are shipping these kids and these families to places where we are not prepared to deal with them in such large numbers. Infants need diapers and diapers were not available to us, at least not in sufficient numbers. Our agents simply went out and bought them for those in need,” said Vice President Moran.

He added that it was heartbreaking for the men and women of the Border Patrol to see kids packed into rooms with no toys. “A lot of Border Patrol agents went out and bought toys for the kids from their own pocket.”

Moran further stated, "many of the agents are spending their time preparing meals for the children instead of securing the border. The administration needs to close this loophole in immigration policy so that the incentive for these kids to come goes away. We are simply overwhelmed and something is wrong when Border Patrol agents are buying diapers from their own personal salaries."

There is not one American Congress person that now can claim any right to having a job in government! Giving a man a job, then ordering him not to do the job, then expect him to take from his family to provide for these invaders? Thinking through an existing problem will indicate the possibility of severe consequences that HAVE TO BE ALLOWED FOR. Not one in Congress or the administration deserves a job anywhere, digging ditches, cleaning bed pans, washing diapers or peeling potatoes in America!

Americans, you elected them . Now we all will have to atone for that. Its unfair.
