Your answer is a lot of meaningless talk that didn't work then, won't work now, and won't work in the future. I don't understand why it is so difficult for you to realize there are constraints as a result of our current laws. Responding with comments like, "tell them we'll shoot them" as you responded in another thread is not an option.

Many of the illegal aliens come here to earn money to send back home. Many of them pay a lot of money to get here so they can earn more money. If we incarcerate them for a period of time before deporting them, they will not be able to earn that money, and overall, they will lose money, and they will soon learn there is no profit in coming.

You're right, there has to be consequences. We need to change the message and hopefully the "zero tolerance" policy will do that. For too many years now it's been catch & release in or interior or just kicking them back across the border without consequence. All that does is send the message that we're not serious and they just come right back in and send for their friends and relatives. The old way of doing business has not been working. Time to really crackdown and show Mexico and Central America we mean business. Tough talk without actual action, which we've been doing for years, is meaningless. Sessions has the right idea, let's actually make the illegals regret their illegality for a change! Furthermore, as Sessions is doing now, let's show the asylum seekers the road to asylum isn't anywhere near as easy as they were told or had envisioned. He is trying to close the loopholes he can and make it tougher on them to actually gain asylum. Anyone that has followed the news reports over the last several weeks can clearly see that.

So that's the plan? Let them all in, spend fortunes of our money testing, detaining, sheltering, shuttling, feeding, entertaining and otherwise caring for them at our expense while they wait for a hearing to grant them asylum. And at least two ALIPACERS support this. Interesting.
