(New Haven-AP) _ New Haven's mayor and police chief have held a public session to explain the city's new harassment free policy on immigrants.
The new immigrant-friendly policy means officials will not inquire about immigration status and will issue a municipal ID card to serve all residents, including illegal aliens.
About 70 people turned out last night to hear Mayor John DeStefano and police Chief Francisco Ortiz.
Ortiz spoke in Spanish about the new general order he issued December 14, 2006. Ortiz said the general order was important because police want immigrants to feel comfortable approaching officers if they are crime victims.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

That "they won't report crimes" is straight from the LaRaza playbook. Do you ever wonder why they always have the same lines all across the country? That's why. LaRaza has a booklet that they send to all these groups, which they set-up and support with our tax money. Most all of their arguments come from LaRaza.
When New Haven fills up with illegal criminals looking for a safe place, they won't be so welcoming. This "kumbaya" moment won't seem so pleasant after a few murders and molestions and after a few buildings are painted puke pink with red, green and yellow, as was the old Waffle House here in town. That Waffle House had been there for years but closed after the area became Hispanic. Too dangerous to stay open 24 hours a day.
