    Had enough talk

I've been reading these posts for three years. I am sick and tired of the fact that the topic of illegal immigration is even being discussed, as all illegals should be sent back to where they came from, and the wall should be built to keep new ones from coming in.

How can we really band together, there are hundreds of anti-illegal sites, and REALLY, REALLY stop all this bull?

Now we have below standard Mexican trucks driving on our roads..

Really, what can we do to stop this idiocy?

Legislating new laws doesn't work. We have laws to get rid of illegals, but the Justice Department on down doesn't enforce them.

How do we band together, all of us, and show Congress that WE THE PEOPLE OWN the COUNTRY?

I don't understand why we don't all march around the White House protesting the way things are being done by our government. How do we wake people Up on the issues???? Why is everyone looking the other way? I agree with you and I feel so frustrated as to what to do with all the mess.

How big of a demonstration would it take for Congress to wake up?

You would have to reach Vietnam Protest levels. That worked.

It would have to be massive and continuous around the clock until every channel and global station had it across the news. My mother always talks about the veterans who walked for days around the White House to protest their lack of pay after WWI. She said it was very impressive and successful.

regarding the truck debacle ..I thought a blocking of the roads by human bodies and American flags would have been in order.I'm surprised the truckers didn't get this off the ground.

Some of the larger crowds were 250,000 strong. However, they often lasted for days with people camping out. They also occurred in cities across the nation. They were also well organized with stong personalities, songs and the whole nine yards.

Having said the above, illegals reached 500,000 plus marching in LA. But, that only helped our cause.

TV commercials funded by donations could make a loud statement as well.

Alternatively, we need to get Ron Paul elected .. or find someone with similar values and get them into the White House.

    Ron Paul
    Border Security and Immigration Reform

The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan:

    * Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
    * Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
    * No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
    * No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
    * End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
    * Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

If the trucks are not stoped one day when its to late the truckers will realize their mistake. They should be doing what ever necessary to protect their jobs and lively hood. And they need to take stand together!

    i wonder

    Controlled:

I wonder what kind of a goon squad would be attracted to a rally of over 500,000 Americans protesting this illegal alien insanity? Not that a goon squad would stop anyone on our side...

maybe we should all return to this kind of activism, we need a "Lorenzo's Oil" solution to this problem.

I wonder what time of year would be best? How to organize such an event..would really require someone with experience, maybe someone who was at the anti-war rallies themselves, someone who helped organize them...
