DACA participants skeptical of Trump deal to provide legal status for 'Dreamers'

Justino Mora doesn’t consider the surprise Wednesday night negotiations between President Trump and Democratic leaders on a plan to save DACA a victory.

“It’s too early to say,” Mora, cofounder of the Los Angeles-based immigrant advocacy group UndocuMedia, said Thursday. He and other DACA participants shared skepticism and disapproval of the negotiations.

“I don’t trust the Trump administration because they’re always changing their mind,” he said. “We’re literally blinded. We don’t know what the deal really entails.”

Trump met for dinner Wednesday night with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) to discuss a plan to enshrine DACA into law. DACA is the acronym for the Obama administration program that shielded from deportation nearly 800,000 immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as children and provides them renewable two-year work permits.

You should not rely on this, you should pack up, call your Embassy or Consulate Office, gather up your families, and all head back to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, South Korea, etc., etc., etc.

Your President's already said they will welcome you with open arms. Provide you with jobs, healthcare and schooling. Go back and apply yourself for the success of your country.

Take him up on that offer...sell out, pack up and go back and get the best jobs and homes first.

Let me clear up any misunderstanding you may have about what I said. What I'm saying, and what most folks probably understood me to be saying, is I don't trust President Trump on DACA.

Did anyone else think I was welcoming DACA's?

Just based on the fact that it was me that made the comment, most normal thinking folks on ALIPAC would know the comment was not in support of DACA.

Now if you would have just inserted a smiling face, I would have took it as a joke.

It wasn't who said it that mattered, it was what he said that I was commenting on. My point being, I don't trust Trump on the DACA issue anymore than the DACA member does. Trump broke his promise to end DACA "immediately" after he was elected and has since drug the issue out almost 9 months. Now he is dragging it out another 6 months in the hopes of legalizing all DACA members. So I ask you, do you trust him on this specific issue?

Apparently no one trusts him re DACA now.
