DACA recipient arrested for allegedly smuggling illegal immigrants

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A DACA recipient is arrested after a vehicle pursuit led by a Laredo Border Patrol agent.

Agents encountered a 2012 Mazda attempting to bypass the I-35 checkpoint.

When agents tried to stop the car, the driver failed to yield, which led to a car crash.

The driver eventually stopped at Mile Marker 81.

Agents found the driver, a DACA recipient and three other passengers who were living in the U.S. illegally.

All of the individuals will be processed accordingly.
