DANBURY -- A 43-year old woman is being held on $25,000 bond after selling a fraudulent Resident Alien card and Social Security card to an undercover police officer Friday.
Patricia Rodriguez of Franklin Street is being charged with second-degree forgery and trafficking in personal identity information.

The Resident Alien card numbers had been previously issued to a naturalized U.S. citizen. According to police, Rodriguez was not in possession of any verifiable identity information and an Immigration Detainer was issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Special Investigations Division began their investigation after receiving information that a female was selling fraudulent cards.

Rodriguez will be arraigned at Danbury Superior Court Monday.
