    In a recent statement to the media, the #2 Republican in the Senate, Trent Lott of Mississippi, said in reference to the immigration deal brokered by the White House and a select group of senators, that the “only thing that’s unacceptable is to do nothing.â€

    This new immigration bill is nothing more than a ruse to allow all the illegal immigrants in this country to slowly gain legal status while our government drags its feet in pretense of securing our borders, all the while hoping the American people will lose interest in this issue as time goes by.
