NC Senate picks leftist for redistricting project?

NC Senate picks leftist for redistricting project?

North CarolinaA North Carolina-based grassroots border enforcement advocacy group is appalled that the new Republican-controlled state Senate has hired a member of a radical Hispanic supremacy group to help redraw legislative boundaries.

For the first time in 130 years, Republicans have gained control of the state Senate, giving the GOP the power to redraw the Senate districts that will elect lawmakers for the next ten years.

William Gheen (ALIPAC)William Gheen, president of Raleigh-based Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), says the people of North Carolina hoped for a legislature committed to border enforcement and the protection of U.S. citizens' jobs. However, Bob Rucho, Republican chairman of the Senate Redistricting Committee, hired Matty Lazo-Chatterton to help in the redistricting process.

"Matty Lazo-Chatterton was one of the top-tier employees of...Senate [President] Marc Basnight, the Democrat that just got dispossessed from power. His La Raza Hispanic outreach coordinator didn't leave the building for more than two minutes before a Republican...hired her and put her back in a position where she could have some influence, possibly on redistricting," Gheen reports. That "means some of our more conservative senators might just find the lines for their new districts drawn between their living room and kitchen."

The ALIPAC president decides it is against the public's interest to allow anyone involved in special interest advocacy to have the power to influence redistricting, especially when that person supports radical positions that favor amnesty for illegal immigrants.

La Raza (The Race) Fox in the Redistricting Hen House

    VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sufoa6RhMTk

Amnesty pusher Luis Gutierrez is in Charlotte, NC advocating that illegal aliens should be able to commit crimes and go to jail without being deported. His supporters now call him the 'Latino Moses'

Perhaps he could lead his illegal alien people out of America?

Meanwhile, the La Raza Redistricting scandal continues to escalate as more North Carolinians learn that NC Senator Bob Rucho has hired La Raza and El Pueblo supporter Matty Lazo-Chadderton to assist the redistricting committee.

While Rucho claims Matty is needed to please the US Justice Department under Obama, such claims ignore the fact that Senator Rucho could have easily hired someone that is not a La Raza member, not a Democratic Party precinct chair, and not a former top brass officer under the Democratic rulers that just fell from power for the first time in 130 years!

Senator Tom Apodoca, the NC Senate Rules Chair, is sitting on top of immigration enforcement bills coming over from the house and from inside the Senate.

This is where bills are commonly sent to die. Could the fact that Senator Apodoca is a member of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL) which supports Amnesty over enforcement for illegal aliens have anything to do with that?

North Carolinians had hoped real change had finally swept Raleigh, but now we find that Senate President Phil Berger has given free reign to Amnesty supporters to control two of the most important committees in NC.

Reply to my inquiry through my Senator.

    Subject: Redistricting - Matty Lazo-Chadderton

Below is a response from Senator Bob Rucho and Representative David Lewis, Chairs of the Redistricting Committee, to reply to inquiries regarding the hiring of Matty Lazo-Chadderton.

( MOD NOTE: Please do not post personal information)

    Dear

Thank you for writing regarding the role to be played by Ms. Matty Lazo-Chadderton in the process of redistricting.

To comply with the Voting Rights Act, the General Assembly must demonstrate that it has sought input from the diverse communities that exist in North Carolina. We have a responsibility to conduct public hearings throughout the state so that all citizens have an opportunity to offer their view points on redistricting.

In order to conduct public hearings, the General Assembly must give members of the public and all interested groups reasonable notice of when and where the public hearings will be held.

Consistent with this duty, we have asked Ms. Lazo-Chadderton to help us circulate notices of hearings and other information to numerous communities in our state.

Ms. Lazo-Chadderton served in a similar role during the 2001 redistricting cycle. Her success in conveying information to Hispanic communities in 2001 was the sole reason why she was engaged to perform a similar function for this redistricting cycle.

It is important that the General Assembly obtain input from everyone who has an interest in redistricting regardless of party affiliation or interest group.

At the end of the day, only the General Assembly has the responsibility for drawing fair and legal legislative districts. However, making sure that all citizens have had a reasonable opportunity to offer input to the General Assembly is a critical and necessary step in the process.

I hope this answers your question and thank you once again for your inquiry.

    Sincerely,

Senator Bob Rucho, Senate Redistricting Chairman

Representative David Lewis, House of Representatives Redistricting Chairman
