DEA, ICE, police conducting raids in Tucson

A Sahuarita Police Department officer was part of an enforcement operation at the Chihuahua Market on South 12th Avenue the morning of July 27.






Tucson police officers and Border Patrol agents were seen outside the Blue Moon Smoke Shop on the 4300 block of South 6th Avenue. Federal agents conducted raids of several locations on the morning of July 27.

Multiple Tucson businesses were raided by authorities Wednesday morning, as part of a joint operation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.

"DEA, with the support of our law enforcement partners in Arizona, is conducting a series of enforcement operations throughout the Tucson area as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation," she wrote in an email. "Due to the continuing investigative efforts of DEA, we cannot provide additional information at this time."

DEA agents, along with U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement agents and local law enforcement, were seen raiding the Chihuahua Market on South 12th Avenue near West Irvington Road.

Tucson police officers and Border Patrol agents were seen outside the Blue Moon Smoke Shop on the 4300 block of South Six Avenue.
