Yes, I saw that. Like I've been saying all along, General John Kelly was a bad hire!

He really was. Such a shame. He'll go out and down as a amnesty blackmailer. Terrible way to end an otherwise good military career, allowing and aiding foreign interests to blackmail our budget and military operations and compromise our public safety and national security.

I know no one on here supports a DACA deal (amnesty), not even Goodlatte's, but I think he makes a fair point here about getting the Senate on record.

Let the House take a vote and we'll know where each member stands. Of course we know the Senate will never pass Goodlatte's bill, but it will put many of the amnesty supporters on record as being against a Trump supported compromise. Of course such a move is not without risk because the Senate will attempt to change the House bill with amendments. However, I don't think the Senate and House will actually be able to reconcile their differences. If Trump remains true to his current position, he'll never support anything that could come out of the U.S. Senate.

Pay me no mind, I'm just thinking out loud.
