    JOHNDOE2,
I checked all of those websites you listed for ag, farm jobs. Not ONE of them listed any such jobs in El Paso. I went to each of their websites and did a search with my zip code and each one returned with "no jobs".
The only farm type jobs that I saw that were available anywhere around my area were professional farm jobs like managers, and others that were specialties.
There were no "picker" jobs. Kind of funny huh considering that I live in the land of Mexicans and illegals that have those very jobs. So....if they aren't posted anywhere, where in the hell are those people getting those jobs?

What do they grow in Texas beside cows? I'm not up on Texas crops.
I've been across Texas a bunch of times and I don't recall much but oil wells and cows, but they usually don't grow crops on the side of the interstate I guess.
Wouldn't know where to look other than the Texas Employment gov. web site.

The AP analysis showed that, from January to June, California farmers posted ads for 1,160 farmworker positions open to U.S. citizens and legal residents. But only 233 people in those categories applied after learning of the jobs through unemployment offices in California, Texas, Nevada and Arizona.

Americans were doing farm work long before Illegals came here and stole their jobs for 1/5th of the wage. I grew up on a farm (I am white) There were no Illegals . We did all of our own farming. We milked our own cows,we raised our own chickens,we raised our own cattle. We raised cows for slaughter also. Our eggs, milk, meat,AND our corn crops that we tended to supported OUR FARM. Americans will do ANY JOB for a DECENT WAGE. And by the way,why would you want to work side by side with a bunch of ILLEGALS that only speak SPANISH ! I get enough of that on the construction site! It drives you crazy !!! I grew up In the Central Valley, and all of my friends were white, and everyone that worked on their farms were white !!! So just shut the ...k up and find another subject to whine about. I have worked In the fields, and the reason that whites are not doing It any more Is because of the Illegal alien Invasion that has occured since the AMNESTY of 1986. The farmers found out that they could EXPLOIT the Illegals and make more money. They are not willing to give that up now...

California farmers posted 1,160 farmworker positions from January to June? Really?! Out of the largest agricultural state in our nation, these farmers posted 1,160 jobs "available to US citizens and legal residents" and only 233 applied in offices in California, Texas, Nevada and Arizona?!! Really??!!

Is there some reason the other 800,000 to 900,000 farm worker positions in California weren't posted?
