Doctor: Gov’t ‘Tight-Lipped’ on Respiratory Virus, May be From Illegals
Doctor: Gov’t ‘Tight-Lipped’ on Respiratory Virus, May be From Illegals

VIDEO AT SOURCE
Dr. Jane Orient, Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, reported that the government has been “real tight-lipped” about the mysterious respiratory illness that has struck children in the United States, expressed concern that the illegal immigrant minors from Central America could be the source, and argued that the government should devote more resources to border security to combat the spread of disease on Wednesday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”
When asked whether illegal immigrant children who have been sent to various locations around the country could be the cause of the virus, she responded “Yes, they could be. We don’t know for sure the government is being real tight-lipped about this, and it only takes one infected child to infect the whole classroom.”
Orient added “we don’t know where it’s coming from...are there immigrants from Central America, where this disease has allegedly been prevalent before? Should we be [looking at] the virus to see whether it’s like what’s been found in some of these countries that are just sending waves of children across our border and they haven’t been quarantined long enough to make sure they’re not sick?”
She also spoke about the risks posed by drug resistant tuberculosis, saying “virtually all of the cases of drug resistant TB that have been discovered in the United States are in foreign born individuals, and the vast majority of any type of TB is in a person who was born in a foreign country. It is a public health nightmare to just have one of these cases in your community because the person needs to be quarantined...and you could catch TB on a bus, there is no question about that.”
In addition, Dr. Orient about the contagiousness of and potential for weaponizing the Ebola virus, reporting “the CDC, on its website, still says you can't get it through the air, however, they're putting out more directives of a Canadian public health services saying ‘well, maybe you can get it through the air.’ This type of air transmission has occurred in animals who had no contact except through the air. And Even so, it’s very, very contagious, it only takes between 5 and 10 virus particles to infect a person. You don't have to have cuts...there are receptors for the viruses in [people’s] normal skin." And “it's extremely transmissible that's why people who like the idea of killing off 90% of population say it would be an ideal agent for accomplishing that. There have been attempts to weaponize it...but you don't really need an ICBM warhead to transmit this, you just some infected people coming across your border." She further stressed that the government should devote more resources to securing the border to prevent the spread of disease.

America’s Kids are getting Sick and ‘They’ Know Exactly Why
Posted on September 10, 2014 by Diane Sori

“But this one, this particular Enterovirus 68, is very rare and they have no idea why it showed up this year.”
- ABC News Chief Health and Medical Editor Dr. Richard Besser
NO idea why…I don’t think so as ‘they’ know exactly why our kids are getting sick…as in its just another little bit of ‘anything but happiness’ from our borders NOT being secured…period.
And so it seems that soon after the deluge of pint-sized criminals crossed ILLEGALLY into our country because of those unsecured borders…and with them still coming but to a somewhat lesser degree…our kids started to get sick…very very sick. And it has been well documented that many of those pint-sized criminals were sick when they crossed with what ‘they’ tried to pass off as NOTHING but mere ‘sniffles.’ But isn’t it more than a bit coincidental that ‘suddenly’ an extremely rare respiratory virus started hitting our kids…hitting them hard all across the country…hitting them in the very states where Barack HUSSEIN Obama dumped these thousands of pint-size criminals. And our kids are getting sick because they have NO immunities to something they have NEVER been exposed to before.

Now, I do NOT want to hear from those who say that kids get sick at the start of every school year because we all know that is indeed true but…and here is where it deviates from the norm…the common cold is what starts the school year off with a whimper and a sneeze…the school year does NOT start off with a virus so severe as to cause what’s turning into an ever-expanding and in some cases life-threatening epidemic. The school year in this country does NOT start off with a virus so dangerous that kids are being hospitalized with a few even dying…and it surely does NOT start off with a virus so dangerous that it’s being recommended that if your child has asthma or any other serious respiratory issues that they stay home so as NOT to be exposed…and please know that this is a virus rarely seen in this country.
And the so-called ‘experts’ claim they do NOT know where this virus came from or why all of a sudden it is showing up here now, but that is to put it bluntly a LIE for logic itself dictates exactly where it came from and exactly who brought it in. And logic also dictates exactly whose fault it is that this dangerous virus is here in the first place…as in can you say Barack HUSSEIN Obama and our unsecured ‘everyone is welcome if you vote Democratic’ borders.

And this little bit of nastiness has already sickened more than a thousand children in 11 states (as of this writing) and if CDC predictions are correct is more than likely to become a nationwide epidemic. And while experts suspect the outbreak is caused by a respiratory virus called human enterovirus 68 (EV-D68…a virus related to the rhinovirus that causes the common cold. But this virus is anything but the common cold as the common cold does NOT send children to the hospital gasping for breath. And while enteroviruses are indeed very common…causing between 10 and 15 million illnesses in the U.S. each year…the fact is that this particular enterovirus is NOT common in this country but is very common in poverty stricken undeveloped countries…countries like those where these pint-sized criminals and oh so ILLEGAL older children came from.
EV-D68 was first detected in the U.S. in California in 1962, but less than 100 cases have been confirmed anywhere in this country in the 52 years since then, but isn’t it odd that now there are thousands of children infected with their numbers growing daily. Again…do I really need to say more as to why all of a sudden this virus is here now…simply connect the dots and know that the picture isn’t pretty.

Eleven states so far…Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa, Colorado, Ohio, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Georgia, have all reported outbreaks of this particularly nasty virus and are asking the CDC for help. And again, all these states have schools where the ILLEGAL children have been enrolled and entered into the student population…and now all 50 states (got that Obama 50 NOT 57 states…57 is the number of islamic states but you know that) are on alert as hospitals across the country are seeing a spike in the number of pediatric patients being admitted to the emergency room.
And with doctors NOT all agreeing on how this particular virus is spread…and with children ranging in age from six weeks to 16 years being affected…it becomes quite clear that the virus is originating in the schools where the ILLEGAL children are enrolled…where the ILLEGAL children have been dumped…where the ILLEGAL children are the carriers who get our kids sick who then in turn bring the virus home to infect both their younger and older siblings…and the cycle of illness is complete.

And to show just how serious this epidemic is, Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver, reported that between August 18th and September 4th…in a bit more than two short weeks…doctors saw more than 900 pediatric patients with symptoms of EV-D68 in the emergency room. Of those who came in, 86 were admitted into the hospital with a handful ending up in the intensive care unit.
Starting with a simple runny nose this virus rapidly progresses into coughing, wheezing, and trouble breathing even for kids NEVER having a history of wheezing…even for kids NOT being asthmatic. And these kids suddenly are NOT only wheezing but gasping for every breath as they are rushed to the hospital with many ending up with a breathing tube down their throats…intubated and on a ventilator…because they simply cannot breath on their own.
And guess what…there’s NO vaccine for EV-D68 and NO special antiviral medication to treat it…it has to run its course with palliative supportive treatment, and with fingers crossed to hope for the best.
And the bottom line is that EV-D68 has most assuredly been brought into this country by the very pint-sized criminals Obama has allowed to stay…NO matter what he or ‘they’ say.

So where do we go from here…what do we do to stop our children from getting sick…the usual things are being touted like our kids should wash their hands often with soap and water…like that will ever happen…that our kids should avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands…like that too will ever happen… and that our kids should avoid sharing or trading lunches in school…yeah right. But I have a better way to keep America’s children safe from EV-D68 along with all the other assorted ‘nasties’ these pint-sized criminals are bringing into our country… round up all the ILLEGAL children Obama disbursed throughout our country (and he knows exactly where they all are) and send them back…deport them…to whence they came for our children’s health…maybe even their lives…depends on it.
And then ‘they’ and Obama can sort it all out amongst themselves for deliberately putting America’s children in danger is one red line ‘they’ and Obama best dare NOT cross.

[Listen] Illegals and Dems Spreading Diseases Among School Kids, Both Known and Unknown
GOP THE DAILY DOSE
Posted on 17 September, 2014 by Rick Wells
AUDIO
Dr. Jane Orient is the Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and also the President of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness. She discusses with Laura Ingraham the threat posed by Ebola and the possibility of it being used as a weapon of mass destruction on the American population.
Dr. Charles Krauthammer raises the concern of a possible mutation of Ebola into a form which can be transmitted through the air from person to person. While the CDC still lists Ebola as only being transmitted through intimate contact, their Canadian counterpart is putting out information which indicates that it can be transmitted through the air.
She believes that the open border is absolutely a serious concern that needs to be addressed immediately. While we can do a better job of screening the legal applicants, she reports that citizens of over one hundred different nations are known to have gained entry into the U.S. through our open borders with only a three percent apprehension rate. Some of the nations sending illegal aliens across include those in the Ebola hot spot of West Africa.
She points out we have no knowledge of who the people entering illegally are or where they are going and that often, the U.S. federal government is providing the transportation to “parts unknown” within the United States.
Laura Ingraham points out the terrible wages of an open border, citing four terrible effects of a government that is irresponsible and derelict with its immigration policies as cultural, economic, national security, constitutional, sovereignty and now medical.
Dr. Orient also speaks to the risk of drug resistant Tuberculosis and comments that it seems the only ones being harassed by Immigration are the people who are trying to follow the law.
She then talks of a previously rare disease, Enterovirus D68 virus, an intestinal virus with symptoms that include a paralysis similar to Polio, which is said to be transmitted not only through the fecal/oral route but through respiratory transmission. Doctor Orient says there have been over one thousand admissions of children who have been extremely sick with the disease, including many who required intensive care treatment.
She says we don’t know where it’s coming from, noting that school has just started, noting a possible connection with the unscreened, unchecked foreign imports from Central American countries. The Obama regime and DHS’s Jeh Johnson have been busy importing as many illegals as possible, irrespective of the serious health threat posed to the American population.
Laura Ingraham notes how she is broadcasting from the Washington, DC area, which received represents one of the largest concentrations of illegal alien warehousing of anywhere in the United States. She asks if they could be in the classrooms infecting other kids right now, to which Dr. Orient responds, “Yes, they could.”
She adds that we don’t know for sure, the government is being real tight-lipped about it. She points out that it only takes one sick child to infect an entire classroom, eventually leading to thousands of cases and hospital admissions.
Dr. Orient also notes that virtually all of the cases of drug-resistant TB which have been diagnosed in the United States have occurred in foreign-born individuals as is the case with all types of TB.
The threat is very real and very serious. It is growing daily and it is totally a Democrat and Obama regime creation that should have never happened. Americans will become infected, and many may die as the result of a deliberate, criminal act carried out by their government upon its citizens.

Enterovirus 68
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Enterovirus 68 Virus classification Group: Group IV ((+)ssRNA) Family: Picornaviridae Genus: Enterovirus Species: Enterovirus D Subtype Enterovirus 68 Synonyms Human rhinovirus 87[1]
Enterovirus 68 (EV68, EV-D68, HEV68) is a member of thePicornaviridae family, an enterovirus. First isolated in California in 1962 and considered rare, it has been on a worldwide upswing in the 21st century.[2][3][4]
Biology[edit]
EV68 is one of the more than hundred types of enteroviruses, a group of ssRNA viruses containing thepolioviruses, coxsackieviruses, and echoviruses. It is unenveloped. Unlike all other enteroviruses, EV68 displays acid lability and a lower optimum growth temperature, both characteristic features of the human rhinoviruses.
Epidemiology[edit]
Since its discovery in 1962, EV68 has been described mostly sporadically, in isolated cases: six clusters (equal to or more than 10 cases) or outbreaks between 2005 and 2011 have been reported from the Philippines, Japan, the Netherlands, and the states of Georgia, Pennsylvania and Arizona in the United States.[5] EV68 was found in 2 of 5 children during a 2012/13 cluster of polio-like disease in California.[6]
Cases have been described to occur late in the enterovirus season,[5] which is typically during the warm months, from spring to autumn (August and September in the Northern hemisphere).
Predisposing factors[edit]
Children less than 5 years old and children with asthma appear to be most at risk for the illness,[7]although adults with asthma and immunosuppression have also been reported.[5]
2014 North American Outbreak[edit]
In August 2014, the virus caused clusters of respiratory disease in eleven, mostly Midwestern states of the U.S., first confirmed in Kansas City, Missouri and Chicago.[8] By mid-September there were 130 suspected cases in states in the US, including Colorado, Louisiana, Alabama, New York, New Jersey, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Montana, Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.[citation needed] In Canada in September 2014, 18 cases of the virus were confirmed inAlberta and three in British Columbia .[9]
Signs and symptoms[edit]
EV68 almost exclusively causes respiratory illness, and varies from mild to severe. Initial symptoms are similar to those for the common cold, including a runny nose, sore throat, cough, and fever.[9] As the disease progresses, more serious symptoms may occur, including difficulty breathing as inpneumonia, reduced alertness, a reduction in urine production, and dehydration, and may lead torespiratory failure.[9][5] Like all enteroviruses, it can cause variable skin rashes, abdominal pain and soft stools. In two California children, it was associated with paralysis of one or more limbs reaching peak severity within 48 hours of onset. "Recovery of motor function was poor at 6-month follow-up. Two children tested positive for enterovirus-68, a rare virus previously associated with polio-like symptoms."[10]
Treatment[edit]
There is no specific treatment and no vaccine, so the illness has to run its course; treatment is directed against symptoms (symptomatic treatment). Most people recover completely, and few need to be hospitalized.[5] Five EV68 paralysis cases were treated with steroids, intravenous immunoglobulinand/or plasma exchange. The treatment had no apparent benefit as no recovery of motor function was seen.[10]
Prevention[edit]
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend "avoiding those who are sick". Since the virus is spread through saliva and phlegm as well as stool, washing hands is most important.[9] Sick people can avoid spreading the virus by basic sanitary measures, such as covering the nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing.[7] Other measures including cleaning surfaces and toys.[9]
For hospitalized patients with EV-D68 infection the CDC recommends transmission-based precautions, i.e. standard precautions, contact precautions, as is recommended for all enteroviruses[11] and to consider droplet precautions [8]

Outbreak of a Respiratory Illness Escalates Among Children and Mystifies Scientists

An outbreak of respiratory illness first observed in the Midwest has spread to 38 states, sending children to hospitals and baffling scientists trying to understand its virulent resurgence.
As of Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had confirmed 226 cases of infection with enterovirus 68. But it is likely that many times that number have been stricken. One case involved an adult, and no deaths have been linked to the infection.
“What the C.D.C. is reporting is clearly the tip of the iceberg,” said Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, the division director of infectious diseases at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. The hospital was the first to alert the agency last month to an unusual increase in children with trouble breathing. Since then, Dr. Jackson has received calls from colleagues nationwide seeking guidance.
Some report that the influx of children to hospitals is “almost outweighing the resources available,” she said.
Three times in the past month, the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital has had to divert ambulances to other hospitals because its emergency room was filled with children, most of them younger than 5, with severe respiratory illness. Before the outbreak, the hospital had not had to divert ambulances in 10 years, said Dr. Daniel Johnson, the interim section chief of pediatric infectious diseases at the hospital.
Enteroviruses are common, but this strain is not. Symptoms in the current outbreak resemble those of a bad cold, including body aches and cough. But some children progress to wheezing and having breathing difficulties. Scientists say they do not know why it is happening.
“Parents would love to know why this virus is causing severe disease and why there are more cases,” said Rafal Tokarz, an associate research scientist at Columbia University who has studied the virus, “but we won’t be able to answer that until a lot more research is done.”
From Aug. 18 to Sept. 24, roughly 3,600 children were treated at emergency and urgent-care facilities at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Most were sent home, but roughly 10 percent were hospitalized because they needed continuous breathing treatment, supplemental oxygen, or even to be placed on a ventilator in the intensive-care unit.
The hospital has had a “bed crunch” and is struggling to maintain supplies of albuterol, a rescue medication used by asthma sufferers, said Dr. Christine Nyquist, the director for infection prevention and control.
Experts said children should rest at home if they had run-of-the-mill cold symptoms like a runny nose, cough and body aches, but were hydrated, eating and breathing comfortably.
“If your child has mild respiratory cold symptoms, they do not need to be rushed to the E.R.,” said Dr. Marian G. Michaels, a pediatric infectious disease specialist at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. The hospital’s emergency department has seen 50 to 70 more children a day for respiratory illness than is customary this time of year.
But there are signs that a child requires immediate medical care: rapid or labored breathing that involves neck muscles, wheezing, complaining of chest pain or not being able to catch one’s breath, and blue lips. A baby who has to stop drinking from a bottle to breathe should be seen by a doctor. A fever need not be present.
Belabored breathing should be obvious. “Parents aren’t going to miss this,” Dr. Jackson said.
She said many school-aged patients told their parents, “I need to go to the E.R. because I can’t breathe.”
Children with asthma or underlying lung disease are more often sent to intensive-care units, but severe symptoms are “not limited to them,” said Dr. Meg Fisher, medical director at Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, N.J.
Dr. Fisher added: “You can’t totally say: ‘My child doesn’t have asthma. I don’t need to worry.’ ” Monitor children who have colds closely, she said, but “let’s not panic.”
She and others urged parents to take standard precautions to avoid spreading enterovirus: Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. Disinfect toys. Avoid sharing cups or utensils with sick children.

People already strapped by the Democrat's economy are now saddled with medical bills for their children so that Democrats can appease illegal aliens by helping to traffic their children to them via Mexican drug cartels without health screening. Yet, they just don't know where it came from? It seems that Chicag, which a large illegal population, has been hit particularly hard.
