Donald Trump’s One Question to Critics Who Claim a Border Wall Wouldn’t Work: ‘Foolish People!’

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump continued going after his critics on Monday, calling opponents of building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border “foolish.”

He also asked opponents of a border wall a question: “Why don’t they suggest taking down the fence around the White House?”

Illegal immigration has been a staple of Trump’s surprise 2016 campaign so far. The Republican has vowed to build an elaborate border wall — and find a way to make Mexico “pay” for it.

Trump has also suggested deporting all of the estimated 11 million immigrants currently living in the U.S. illegally and challenging the citizenship of so-called “anchor babies.”

A new poll released on Monday showed Trump tied with Ben Carson for first place in Iowa with 23 percent. Carly Fiorina came in at 10 percent followed by Ted Cruz at 9 percent and Scott Walker percent.
