The only concern right now is DACA. Trump can end that program like he promised he would do on day 1 of his presidency with a simple signature.

Please provide a source for your statement that Trump promised to end DACA on Day 1 of his Presidency.

He repeatedly promised to “eliminate every unconstitutional executive order” -- referring specifically to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA), which granted legal status to illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, or who have children who are citizens or legal residents.

Trump has repeatedly pledged to cancel all of Obama’s executive actions right away as president. That includes a promise to scrap Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, which grants work permits and temporary reprieve from deportation to the DREAMers. Obama’s executive deportation relief has been widely denounced by Republicans for years, and Trump’simmigration plan vows to “immediately terminate” DACA, describing it as an “illegal amnesty.”

And now, Trump has let him down. That’s because as the sun set on Trump’s first full weekday in office, it became clear that the reality star turned president had broken a key campaign promise: He had failed to reverse an Obama policy that protects hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants from deportation. Instead, two of Trump’s top lieutenants signaled that the promise may never come to fruition.

Presidents are free to revoke or modify their own orders or those issued by a predecessor. Trump could revoke President Barack Obama’s executive actions as soon as he takes office. Trump has promised to rescind Obama’s immigration and gun executive orders, terminating the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (or DACA) "immediately."

The Trump administration appears to be backing off a campaign promise to immediately end former President Barack Obama's program to protect young immigrants from deportation.

Trump’s pledge to end DACA on day one of his presidency is running headlong into the compelling personal stories of DACA recipients, who are providing powerful firsthand testimonials about how DACA has benefited their lives, futures, and communities.

Trump campaigned on pledges to end DACA “on day one” and, because DACA is a creation of executive authority, he would have the authority to do so.

Trump has also pledged to unwind Obama's immigration policies on his first day, including having the "first piece of paper that I'm going to sign" be an order to get rid of criminal undocumented immigrants. He has also pledged to repeal "every single Obama executive order," "repeal Obamacare" and "end the war on coal," according to his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

He has said his first order of business, on Day One, will be to reverse many of President Obama's executive orders, beginning with immigration. For example, Trump would immediately end Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that has granted temporary work permits to “dreamers,” young immigrants who lack legal status.

I want one that he said, not one that someone else said he said. I guess you couldn't find one.

MW, you're in the dark as others may be because Trump never said that, he never promised it. If you watched the rallies and his speeches, you would know that he promised to reverse all illegal and unconstitutional Executive Orders of Barack Obama including those on immigration. The only 2 illegal and unconstitutional executive orders on immigration are the two you claim don't matter, that are not of a "concern", and those are 2 stopped by the court in the injunction: 1) DACA EXPANSION and 2) DAPA.

DACA 2012 is legal and constitutional. Trump never said he was going to reverse that Day One. Never. When the CORRUPT STUPID MEDIA paraphrases what he said, and refers to DACA, they are referring to the unconstitutional DACA EXPANSION that upset everyone in 2014, that led to the 26 state lawsuit in 2015 that resulted in an injunction on the DACA expansion, not the original 2012 DACA, and the DAPA.

But if you want to continue to confuse everyone, have at it. Trump will straighten it out and set everyone straight when Sessions and Mnuchin are confirmed. Just like he'll straighten out the Obamacare replacement bill writhing in oblivion in Congress, when Price is confirmed.

    Over and out.

Yep, Judy's right and everyone else is wrong. Furthermore, your insistence that DACA is constitutional and legal is an opinion not shared by a single Republican in the U.S. Congress. If there is actually one, he or she has flown under the radar. Don't get me wrong, there are some Republicans that support protecting the so-called Dreamers, just not any that think DACA was a lawful response. Additionally, you're probably the only person on ALIPAC that believes the 2012 DACA is constitutional and lawful. Heck, I even remember reading on Trump's own website a while back that he believed the 2012 DACA to be unconstitutional and unlawful.

Then why didn't the 26 States include it in their lawsuit in 2015? Why didn't Congress pass a law banning executive branch prosecutorial discretion on illegal aliens and giving them work permits without legislative authority?

This program is now 5 years old and it's never been challenged in court.

As for me, I believe the admission of any immigrant by the federal government is unconstitutional. The federal government was never granted the power to admit immigrants into the country, only the power to prevent their entry and remove them after the year 1808. Admissions of immigrants is a states right balanced by federal authority to prevent it.

In any event, we'll see what Trump does with it in the next couple of days. He should just go ahead and rescind it and get it over with. The Senate has already screwed him on his nominees taking their "week delay" to prolong having his Cabinet in place with all of these important orders being signed.

Price should have been in place with the signing of the Obamacare repeal order.

Perry and Pruitt should have been in place with the signing of the pipeline orders.

Sessions and Tillerson should have been in place with these Immigration Executive Orders set up for tomorrow and the next day.

    Etc., Etc.

But the DemoQuacks are an evil bunch who don't give a hoot about our country or citizens, so just move forward, GET R DONE without the protocols, don't let them stop the Trump Train, keep moving, moving, moving. Show no mercy and take no prisoners. This is war to save our nation.
