I didn't suggest anything. What I said was I believe Trump underestimated them. He offered amnesty to 1 million more than the 800,000 or so current DACA members that were originally on the table. I believe Trump thought the increase would turn some Democrats. Well, fortunately for us Trump was wrong and it didn't work.

Yes, that's right. Democrats in the Senate didn't want a DACA deal. Otherwise, they would have taken Trump's offer of the 1.8 million DACAS with a pathway to citizenship and done the Grassley bill, because he warned he would veto the other 3 proposals. He's happily tweeting that fact and saying he can't believe how badly the DEMS treated the DACAs, accuses the Dems of totally abandoning them. Reminds them that "Republicans still hard at work."

So, if he really wanted a DACA AMNESTY, he seems to be taking the loss very well.

It's not that he's taking it well, because he's not. What he is doing is attempting to goad the Democrats into action.

Yes, that's right, he's goading action on his stacked deck 4 pillar plan proposal that is supported by CIS, FAIR and NumbersUSA. He's already made it clear he'll veto anything less than the Grassley bill in the Senate, at least that was his position in the Senate last week that killed the bills. The Grassley bill for example only got 39 votes, the worst showing of the 4 bills voted on which means most if not all Democrats and quite a few Republicans in the Senate aren't interested in a DACA deal, at least not on the terms of Trump's stacked deck 4 pillar plan.

The House will take up a revised Goodlatte bill when they come back from break if there's still interest in it. Will it get to the floor? I have no idea. If it gets to the floor will it pass? I have no clue. I would be very surprised if Republicans pass an amnesty bill in the US House of Representatives, but due to all the money funded by it and all the other good things that happen if it passes, it's possible.

There's two goals in this fight against illegal immigration:

1. preventing amnesty
2. solving the problem

We have the votes to kill amnesty, we don't have enough votes to solve the problem.

That's the problem.

To solve the problem without amnesty, we need at least 10 more Republicans in the US Senate while holding or expanding our majority in the House.

In my opinion, that's the reality of the situation.

Jeff Sessions supports this deal, calls it our last chance to solve the illegality while serving the national interest. Fox News is discussing the DACA issue right now on their Sunday Show, News Hour, right after the commercial break. They had a clip from Jeff Sessions. Everyone might want to tune in.

daca is not over yet...it could have been had trump not added the extension.....but now a judge rules that stopping is illegal...WHAT, the whole daca thing is illegal! This is obama's baby, his decree and shocked that trump wants anything to do with it.

Trump wants the funds for the border wall and went to the point of pulling another 1.2 million eligible for amnesty out of thin air - totally disregarding his voters wishes. And if it got to any type of negotiations, that 1.8 million would have went to 3-5 million. The Democrats and some Republicans showed what they are after - AMNESTY FOR ALL IN THIS COUNTRY NOW PLUS COME ON IN TILL 6/30/18. They would amnesty drug cartels - if they have no criminal record, they would be free to continue operating.

Trump should be creative and find a way to produce the border wall money from a source other than our budget, like a % of remittances. Hard to believe anyone would not want our border secured - nothing but crimes reported everyday committed by illegal aliens aka foreign nationals.

Yes, and also, do an EO that authorizes state and local law enforcement agencies to engage in enforcing US immigration law. We have 5,000 ICE Agents, whereas state and local law enforcement has over 800,000 sworn, trained, experienced, equipped and paid police officers who know as well or better than anyone how to make a legal arrest and detain an illegal alien. Not all agencies will want to help, some are sanctuary cities and towns, even states, with removing illegal aliens. But there are far more who will want to participate and engage so long as they know they won't face reprisals or lawsuits from the federal government. Go even further and authorize the DOJ with the same EO to assist in the defense of any state or local law enforcement agency sued by the illegal alien or an advocacy group. UNITE!!! Lets solve problems together and make America great again!!
