Just wonder if Lori Lei was licensed to prepare taxes.

As far as I know, you only have to be licensed if you are advertising as a professional tax preparer. There is absolutely nothing stopping anyone from doing taxes for another person.
We had a situation here a few years ago where a tenant was doing taxes for illegals and making a pretty penny off of it. Someone turned her in believing that she was committing a crime and, it turned out, she wasn't. She wasn't filing fraudulent returns nor passing herself off as a professional and nothing could be done about it.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Well, that crap has to be changed! I suppose Lori Lei did not sign the forms as the preparer, just had the illegals sign as if they had done their own (perhaps, as some cannot do simple arithmetic or sign their own names.)
If this case gets thrown out due to accidental discovery and violating the privacy of illegals I shall have a hissy fit and move to Antarctica.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I hadn't heard about the case in Colorado. It makes me wonder if tax fraud is part of the trafficking manifesto nationwide.
Does every drug supply line have a person that also prepares fraudulent taxes so that they can commit tax fraud as well as welfare fraud, identity theft, healthcare fraud , just to mention a few.
I sent this article to both of my Senators and my Congressman and pointed out that the Federal government doesn't seem to be doing it's job as the steward of the public treasury. I am awaiting responses.....Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

An interesting thing happened in Gadsden, my hometown in Alabama, in early February. A routine drug raid for methamphetamine distribution resulted in the discovery of an income tax fraud scheme that is expected to lead to millions of dollars in illegal tax refunds.
