"Illegal Alien" is the most descriptive term. "Illegal Immigrant" is also pretty good, but is an oxymoron, because the word "Immigrant" is an already inherently legal term.
The worst description is "Undocumented Immigrant". When foreigners come to the US illegally, they are usually loaded to the gills with documents. Sure, they're false documents. But they're still documents.
If, for some reason, they come here illegally without any documents, they can simply go to the nearest Mexican Embassy, or one of those mobile Consulars, and request and receive a Matricular card. It's not much of an ID, but as long as they have it, they shouldn't be considered "undocumented".
Let's assume, for some reason, that this unique organization is successful, and outlaws the term "illegal". Now let's say that throngs of Congressmen are misled into awarding Amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens, because they're under the false impression that all that these newcomers need are valid, new documents. Well, what happens to the old documents? Most of these old identification documents were stolen from regular Americans. Is our Federal Government going to at least notify these Americans that their identities were "borrowed" ?

Illegals go home
That society supports amnesty for illegal aliens. That is why they do not want to call them illegal aliens. But we are not stupid. As far as I am concerned, that society and illegal aliens must move to another country and leave us alone.

The SPJ has said that they did not support changing the terms. The whole thing was from a blogger which did not express their views. The arguement was thrown out not even being allowed to make it to a SPJ vote.
Was on Fox News a bit ago. Sounds like the left media just picked it up and tagged the SPJ with it to stir a debate and try and get support for ohh so sad "undocumented working terrorists" or otherwise known as "illegal aliens".
