2 Police Officers Shot, Gunman Dead in Border Shootout

EL PASO, TX - "I walked out of my house and I heard a bunch of gunshots," said Ray Campos.

Terrifying to say the least, as neighbors quickly discovered those gun shots were coming from just yards away - a gun fight in Juarez, possibly a police ambush. El Paso police saying 15 to 20 rounds landed on U.S. soil.

"I saw a bunch of federales just running around, I saw a lot of troops walking about..around and running with rifles and I could see gun shots coming up in the hills," says Campos.

But as we know, bullets know no borders.

At the end, two Mexico police officers were shot and one gunman dead.

Those living feet from the border here in the U.S. are on edge.

Both federal and local police surrounded the area to make sure no one else was hurt.
