Eli Lilly: Immigration bill would hurt Ind. image
Posted: Feb 19, 2011 4:55 PM EST
(AP) -- One of Indiana's biggest employers is warning that a bill calling for an Arizona-style crackdown on illegal immigration in the state would give Indiana a bad image.
Indianapolis-based drugmaker Eli Lilly and Co. also says the bill would hurt the company's ability to attract top workers.
The measure by Republican state Sen. Mike Delph of Carmel is aimed at ushering out of the country workers lacking proper federal documents, but some corporate executives fear talented professionals may avoid Indiana companies even if they can enter the U.S. legally.
Lilly spokesman Ed Sagebiel tells The Indianapolis Star that the company's "ability to thrive in Indiana is dependent on an environment that is welcoming."
The bill passed a Senate committee on Thursday and is now before the full Senate for consideration.

More fear mongering, alarmist BS from a corporate entity looking to protect its illegal invader slave labor. Lets let illegal invaders take over Indiana so companies can hire "talented foreign professionals" from other countries! The measure by Republican state Sen. Total BS
some corporate executives fear talented professionals may avoid Indiana companies even if they can enter the U.S. legally.
Why would a legal alien avoid Indiana, if they were legal. This is nonsense.
Lilly spokesman Ed Sagebiel tells The Indianapolis Star that the company's "ability to thrive in Indiana is dependent on an environment that is welcoming."
It is welcoming, to people who are not criminals. This is crap!!!

How do you even reply to such nonsense
If you like Illegals and their superior brain power (according to your statements) why don't you ship your entire company to Mexico and serve the people that your real allegience Is tied to. We have plenty of "drugs" available here In the U.S.

Thrive hmmm that depends on who's trying to thrive, our families and friends etc or these pharmaceutical pill pushers, kick Eli to the curb along with the rest of the same bunch that want all America on drugs, the sicker the society the better for them. It is all about control. Control of us from the cradle to the grave and everything in between.
