Employer Gets Probation, Fines for Hiring Illegal Immigrants
I'm so disappointed this business owner failed to get any jail time. Three years probation is almost nothing and his total of $225,000 in fines will merely be a cost of doing business.
Perhap some enterprizing competitor will sue him for illegal business practices or racketeering ? I can only hope. IMO these business owners need serious jail time, if a judge really wants to send a message to other business owners.

Employer Gets Probation, Fines for Hiring Illegal Immigrants
4:56 PM Nov 13, 2006 AP
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ The owner and a general manager of a Wichita manufacturing company were each sentenced Monday to three years probation for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.
U.S. District Judge Wesley Brown also ordered Bob Eisel Powder Coatings owner Bob Eisel to pay $50,000 in fines.
General manager Kenrick ``Butch'' Steinert was ordered to pay $25,000. The corporation was fined $175,000.
The two men pleaded guilty in August to a single count of making false written statements to the government, after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors in the case.
Earlier this month, Brown dismissed the indictment against company foreman Troy Hook in exchange for a $5,000 fine.

The fine wasn't high enough. They have to start fining them more to set an example for all those who hire illegals. If they don't they will only reoffend.

Put him in jail. Let the business go under. You or I would be doing HARD time. If just ONE business owner gets SOME jail time, it's a powerful deterrent. Probation will not get the attention of other greedy business owners. Judges need to make examples of a few, inorder to put some fear into the others. These guys are laughing all the way to the bank.
Let the honest business owners, that play by the rules, pick up his employees and customers, when he goes to jail.

They should make the business owner go to jail, increase the fine and take the business away under an asset forfeiture program geared at those who hire illegals. That would be the ideal solution. No one would want to loose their business so many would think twice before hiring illegals.

Too worried about the Hispanic vote and not bright enough to see that a good majority of them don't get citizenship.
