William Gheen and Alipac have not changed in their so called "purity" (as Lou Dobbs said yesterday on his radio show when referring to Alipac) toward illegal immigration. In other words, NO to amnesty.
Lou Dobbs however has suddenly decided to expose a somewhat grayer view of the illegal immigration issue. One that now includes amnesty. While Lou says that these are his long standing views, and within his own being they well may be, but the on air persona of Lou Dobbs never let this come to light. As William said, Alipac and other now disappointed Americans would not support anyone pushing for any type of legalization. The millions of illegal alien voters would see to it that the borders remained open, and that more illegal aliens would then flood in to the United States.
I also noticed that Lou Dobbs referred to illegal aliens as illegal immigrants. This reminds me of the time that the Hispanic media and others vigorously tried to get him to use the more acceptable term of undocumented immigrant, but not "illegal." He kept using the legal term however. For Lou Dobbs, there is no bridge to agreement with amnesty supporters, only rejection, and a bigger rejection from the 80 percent of Americans, many out of work now, who want no part of a path to citizenship for those who have illegally violated the borders of the United States.
At least people now know that Lou Dobbs wants a path to citizenship for illegal aliens, and this is what La Raza, Maldef, Luis Gutierriez, SEIU, ACORN, etc. want. I somehow think that Lou will have the more difficult time of convincing people to follow him. And he will receive cold shoulders from both sides now.
Psalm 139:14Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Re: Ex-CNN anchor suddenly champions amnesty
This is the first clue that Dobbs is now serious about making a political run and he believes that the Hispanic vote is more important than our votes. I am dissappointed in Dobbs' slick little switch here and his effort to use vague language in an attempt to sneak this by us. I see some easy fixes to illegal immigration such as repealing the birth right citizenship law, the adoption of e-verify for ALL employers in the U.S. and stiff penalties for employers. Unfortunately, politicians always seem to take as vague a stand as possible on tough issues in hopes of snagging as many voters as possible. I think we have no choice, but to drop our support for Lou. How sad that he would cave so easily on such an important issue to the country.
Dobbs' spokesman Bob Dilenschneider told the Wall Street Journal the former broadcaster draws a distinction between illegal aliens who have committed crimes since arriving in the U.S. and those who are "living upright, positive and constructive lives" who should be "integrated" into society. He said Dobbs recognizes the political importance of Hispanics and is "smoothing the water and clearing the air." [/quote]
Oh, so how is this Dobbs.....is there the same distinction between drug dealers who have committed crimes other than dealing drugs and those who other than being drug dealers lead the lives of a model citizen? Talk about a hypocritical view of life.
The Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee, or ALIPAC, was stunned by Dobbs' apparent reversal, especially after it set up a website urging him to run for the presidency or Senate, a site which to date collected more than $666,000 in donations.
"This news is going to break a lot of hearts in America. The American people are suffering so much and so many of us, myself included, believed in Lou Dobbs," said William Gheen, president of ALIPAC. "I am hurt, dismayed, angry, sad, exasperated, red faced, embarrassed, and more after seeing this video."
Gheen is now asking for feedback from the public on Dobbs' new remarks.

[b] After hearing the communication between our ALIPAC president and Lou Dobbs, I believe that we just saw Dobbs switch from an activist to a politician. And I'm sorry but most politicians turn me off simply because they never are precise on what they stand for. As long as they can make you think they may be on your side, then they are apt to get your vote right? Wrong! Not mine. I don't like wishy washy people!
